    Hi,

Can anyone tell me what tree species this is from the pic?

It is 2m from our house. The tree is lovely but I am concerned that the roots may cause damage of some sort.
You can see that a couple of off shoots from the tree are growing through the pavement.

    Should I be worried?

    Thanks

It's a bit blurred but the habit looks much like a common lilac.

Not heard of these as a root problem tree ?

Hi, As above the lilac tree is a shrub and it wont cause any problem whatsoever-just chop the branch at the base of the fence and seal it-is it the neighbours tree?
