As we seem to be a nation of people who like a good old moan about things like leaving the toilet seat up or supermarket trolley rage to people who say annoying things, I thought I'd start a thread about trivial things which bug you intensely. What's yours?

Here's a few to kick off with...

Able people who park in disabled spaces.

People who use the words borrow and lend the opposite way around like, 'I lent it from him or I borrowed it to him'.

People who feel the need to comment on when they feel you need a shave or a haircut.

The only trivial one I can think of that annoys me, is 'brought' in place of 'bought' as in 'I brought a new spade from the garden centre last week'

Places that sell regular sausages in a crusty roll advertised as Hot Dogs. When I buy a hot dog I want a Frankfurter in a soft roll not a sausage baguette. Major disappointment but seems so trivial.

People who write long postings without any punctuation or capital letters. Makes reading them so difficult.
Oh and would of instead of would have. That really annoys me.

Like that chaser Mark Labbett off The Chase. He's a teacher yet can't grasp proper diction. It grates my cheese when he says firty fousand pounds. Good luck he's not teaching my kids that's all I can say.

Most of my daughter's teachers use "f" instead of "th" and sometimes say "we was" :cry3: It drives me spare.

The parking space triggered a thought. We have one here, a sign on a parking spot that read Parking for customers with children. Well you know you all chose to have children so why should you get a parking spot. After all I pay "school tax" and I don't have kids. And that reminds me "I pay school tax" yet, I get knocks on my door for donations to the local school events. Is't it enough I pay school tax and I did not use it.

The assumption on the part of dog-owners that dislike on my part = fear. Er no....I just don't like badly-trained dogs:dunno:

British parking spaces, particularly at large supermarkets. They just aren't wide enough and it's so frustrating when there's a huge 4 x 4 parked in the next space and I can't get in or out of the car. There should be a separate parking area for them.

                      Tailgaters! Enough said!

Those people in the high street that never seem to walk round me, I have to walk round them, particularly when I was on crutches a number of years ago. No consideration!

Ban them. End of! And lock up the owners!

Also the owners of big barky dogs that charge around and race up and down aggressively. Because, yes, I AM terrified of them. Humans aren't allowed to act in a threatening manner- how come you're allowed to let your dog do it instead?

The greengrocer's apostrophe. But that's not trivial, that's an extremely serious matter.

Middle lane hoggers on the motorway.

                          Drivers talking on mobile phones.

Drivers trying to secretly text with the phone on their lap.

                          Non-functioning indicators on German cars.

Wasps! - got stung last night up a ladder trying to get rid of a nest in the roof :(

The supermarket checkout 8.00 am on a Saturday - 2 tills open.
I work all week and on a Saturday I like to get my shopping done early so that I can go home and start my weekend.

Going into a Garden Centre and noticing that some of the plants are gasping for a drink. I hate that.
