I have available some tropical seeds that I have been freshly harvested from my own plants and shrubs including Petrea volubilis (Queen's Wreath), Bauhinia monundra (Pink Orchid Tree) and Christmas Palm tree seeds.

GreenOliveTree - thats a very generous offer. I would love to have said yes - but I just don't have the room for any more plants (tender or otherwise), especially as they will need protection over the winter.

Where are you situated? It sounds like somewhere warm.

I too would struggle to accommodate the plants you are offering GOT.

If only I had the greenhouse space.

May we have more details of your location please ... and are these seeds free or for sale?

You are allowed 5 retail packets of seed from outside the E.U. As long as they are not on the CITES list of endangered plants.

I'm not sure if Barbados is included, but you are not permited to send seeds from the Dominican Republic to Europe as they have to go through the US Customs and the US forbids the entry/exit of certain seeds / plants.

The point here Ziggy, is that it appears to be a 'dodgy' poster. Has anyone sent an e-mail to that address ? ... I certainly won't ...

                Hi Victoria,

I got the point, just didn't want to upset a new member if its a genuine post before they had a chance to justify themselves.

Marley has removed the e mail to be on the safe side.

A quick Google will show you that that poster is to be found on a number of forums selling a variety of tropical plants/seeds. I'm not sure there is anything Spammy about their posts, I expect that they have for sale what they say they have, its just not how this forum's incumbents normally expect to do business :thumb:

Sorry it took me so long to respond. My apologies. I am located in Barbados for those who were asking and the seeds I have available are not CITES regulated. They are seeds I collect from my own shrubs or trees or those of my father in law.

I did not recognize you removed the post. I am sorry I did not formally introduce myself. With respect to the email adress Urim is a biblical name which the high priest wore and means 'lights' so it is a Jewish term. lgi just represents lights and gardening inc. So no great mystery about the email address just wanted to be original.

I do have some tropical seeds available should you be interested. I just thought this forum would also be a good place to offer the seeds. No offense taken and on my part none was intended either.

                      Best Regards
                      Kirk Douglas

Looks like we owe you an apology GreenOliveTree. There have been a few suspicious characters on Gardeners Corner some turn out to be genuine, some not.

                      Welcome to Gardeners Corner! :)
