troubled plox

    It's the plox this time...is it just the wind and rain that have caused this to happen to the plox, ...or even the birds?? They had a good go at the zinnias nearby! If it's not the rabbits or peacocks, it's the wee birds! Gardening can be so challenging sometimes!! But fun!

    Ooops! The post above should have read Phlox, but you knew that!! lol
    And I might have known I couldn't post two pictures properly...I'm not very good at technical! Looks like I missed something out to get the photo in without having to go to a link. Sorry! I'll keep practising!

    Looks like a leaf miner of some kind causing those beigy spots on the leaf. Its also being chewed by slugs or snails from its appearance. Those rasped areas of the stem are typical snail damage. It may need some support to get it off the ground but you may find that the snails will get through the stem [​IMG]

    The leaf damage is more likely drought than leaf miner and as Fran says slugs have had a go too.

    Aaw thanks Palustris! That is sooo clever!!! I admit to not doing technical!!!....but as my computer whiz brother said to me..'yes, but you can garden!' So all is fair!!
