I have just invested in a new minigreenhouse to grow on all my summer bedding - I reckon it will have to all be in baskets this year as anything at his height will get eaten!

In his first day in the garden he tried to eat a snail shell, a cat pool, lots of gravel and dirt and every plant he came across. I can see he is going to be trouble!

Are there any plants which might be poisoness to him? He has already had an upset tum (unsuprisingly!)

    Love EGW x

    What a lovely puppy. [IMG]
I think it will only be time before he stops eating your plants. :D
We had a Springer spaniel that ate my garden untill she was about 9 months old.
She drove me mad ,she ate everything inside and out side the house.
By the time she was 18 months old she had turned into the most loving beautiful obedent dog you could ever have.
    I loved her so much.
She died 14 years ago and I still miss her.
She was my best friend. :(
Give him time and he will repay you with love.
    He is so lovely.

Thanks everyone, his name is Freddy.

    Lyn your springer sounds lovely!

Yes I don't think the garden will be quite the same this year but at least I'll have a friend with me whilst I am out there (even if he is digging things up as fast as I am putting the in! [IMG] )

My parents' dog was a chewer until they discovered that he really liked gnawing on two litre drinks bottles. We left empty ones just within reach so he thought he was being a bit naughty stealing it, and apart from a bit of grass he never ate any of the plants.

Your puppy looks lovely - he's got that innocent, butter-wouldn't-melt look on his face!

If you really don't care about the fate of your garden, get some of these The first thing they learn to do is DIG. Thats why they're called terriers (earth dogs).
