Can I put honeysuckle and/or a climbing rose in planters? I have a bare bit fence 5ft high at the front that would be nice covered in flowers - but there's no soil at the base, only rubble and stones, I think there was once a path there. I was looking at those biggish trough style planters and one of them would look very nice if I could put a climber in it. Would that be ok?

I'm not sure how well they would grow, if you're willing to try, large planters would be best. Roses are very hungry plants, so you would have to feed and water it regularly through the growing season. :)
