    Well, I am up late thanks to updating a new laptop, and have just heard Trump is the Republican nominee - Cruz stood down following defeat in Indiana. Oh dear. This is not good. This is terrifying.

      It is terrifying in the way that he is not really a politician...He is a business man and lacks the empathy for the wider segments of society, that is indispensable in that profession.

      Just to make you an example: when he wanted to buy some land in Scotland to make some golf courses, his attitude was nothing short of a tyrant (then I don't think it went through).

        He has one golf course at his hotel but planning permission for another course was rejected. The hotel is losing a lot of money and I can't see it improving with the local economy doing so poorly with the drop in the price of oil.

        I'm not happy at all with the prospect of him as President - nor any of the other candidates, but our chances of a new Prime Minister in a few years time doesn't look good either! :doh:
