    Hi Everyone

My friends Mother (I'm sure you need to know that fact!) has one of those trumpet plants and sorry I don't know the real name. She has it in her greenhouse at the moment.

The question is when can she get it out and put it back on her patio and does dhe have to do anything paticular.

Many thanks on behalf of Vera.

I presume you are refering to either Datura or Brugmansia both known as trumpet flower, although Brugmansia is the perennial plant. [IMG] It would not be a good idea to put it out yet particularly in these cold winds, I personally would leave it till may to put it outside. A fortnightly nitrogen feed would be beneficial for a few weeks then potash(tomato feed or similar) to encourage flowerbuds.

    Thanks strongy

Apparantly it looks dead..at the moment, do you know if this is normal and should it eventually spring to life?
Or would you say it was dead??

    Thanks

Presumably it has been resting during the winter but it should have shown some signs of life by now. I wouldn't give up on it just yet. A pic would help. Rich is the man for brugs. [IMG]
