Tonight was meant to be really frosty.

I ahve my peas and caulis covered with empty orange juice carton cloches, but i feared the worst....

so i got a load of old bed sheets i was going to throw out and cut them up. I then took them into the pitch black garden and unscrewed the tops, put over a piece of bed sheet and screwed the top back on the bed sheet to keep it secure

I think this will work. I shall have to take them off in the morning so they get light, and repeat the whole process again. it took about 10 mins. towels would do fine i suppose...

my vegetables are like children to me you see... i look after them!! lol :D

i hope it works well..... [IMG]

Lol had a good giggle on this thought for a minute we had a child eating monster in our mist! Although truth be told the little ones are quite sweet at times but personally I couldn't eat a full one! :D Hel.xxx.

G G you got off lightly if the temperature is going to fall below 5c I shuffle plants between the g/house 10c the p/tunnel and the kitchen lots of them are in 18" pots, plants in the p/tunnel get 4 layers of fleece, tender stuff in the garden has cages with fleece over.
