I'm growing veg for the first time this year and really enjoying it.

Because of lack of space I'm growing them in patio bags, pots and hanging baskets and so far it's working out well, but I'm a bit stuck on the tomato front. I have several growing in pots but want to try some in hanging baskets. Has anyone any tips and how many should I plant in a 16inch basket?

I would appreciate any advice on container growing as I'm a complete novice on fruit and veg. Thanks.

I'd only put one Tumbling tom plant in a 16" basket, it will soon fill the whole thing - thats a good choice - it will reward you handsomely - good luck!

Thanks JWK, off to the garden centre to buy the plants for three hanging baskets.
