I am turfing over my garden. I understand that it is very important to lay the lawn with 24 hours of delivery... but as I have never turfed before I have no idea how long it is going to take. The area I have to turf is about 7m x 17m .. has anyone any idea how many hours this might take 2 novices to turf given that it will be fully prepared?

wont take long i used to rekon on 100m a day including all the rotavating and preparing also we used turf that was a couple of days old somtimes with no problems all that happens is it turns a bit yellow but usually it picks back up after a day or 2 remeber to work of boards laying them on the first line of turf and turning on to the next as you work your way across your garden and hey presto nice level flat lawn

Cant really add a lot to the above other than if its a very hot day then damp the rolls after theyve been unloaded from the loory.

And don't forget to lay the turfs like brickwork, so the joints that are at 90 degrees to your board are not all in a straight line. If you see what I mean. Hopefully!
