Hi and hope I can have some good advice.
I have just finished a big patio and paving project and in the process, I froze my bits off!. I now have about 40 sq metre which has to be grassed. I have been advised that it is OK to lay turf now. I have also been advised that it is stupid to lay turf now.
    Any other comments please?

No problem at all infact its easier as you dont need to water it constantly. Just be sure the grounds not waterlogged or frozen when you lay it.

Thanks for this, although I think I secretly hoped you would suggest I waited a month! I am fed up with being cold and windswept. However, I will look for a projected few days of reasonable weather and get started.
    Thanks again.

    wait a month :D

there you have it in writing now haha.

Actually I just asked the same Q on my thread - they laid turf next door to me but to be honest it doesnt look good at all. it's got more soil in it than actual grass. Maybe it's the time of year I don't know.

Johnny maybe it's better to lay the turf at this time of year after all it's not quite the weather to laze out in the sun yet and by the time the weather is nice enough for you to spend some quality time out in your garden your turf should be looking pretty damn fine! :D

Johnny, there`s nothing wrong with laying turf now, apart from the weather. Wait for it to stop raining, and then wait for at least a week without rain. Then, go for it. [IMG]
