A week's holiday passes so quicky but the short trip wasn't just about the eclipse. It was my first visit to the Med and the cool evenings with day temperatures in the mid 70's was ideal after leaving home in a snow shower!

Some floral memories that I hope you will all like and maybe encourage you to visit the wonderfull countryside if you get the chance.

Lovely pictures, just fancied the fresh limes with a drop of gin perhaps? This is the time if you ever get to Italy to see and smell the Mimosa it is planted all down either side of the main road from the airport in Rome, well it used to be... can still see/smell it now, never been to Turkey tho. ;)

Nice pics frogesque, everthings so much more advanced growth wise than it is here, but then when theirs are all shrivelled, ours will be at their best. [IMG]

    I hope.

Waco ... was in Botanical gardens in Puerto de la cruz last july although I left the other half sunning herself this time as she new I would be there a long time. Did you get up to the aquatic gardens next to the casino? they were small but special.
Off to Turkey (and Northern Cyprus) in august but I don't think it will be quite so colourful then. [IMG]

Absolutely gorgeous pics, Frogesque! Trees are the best for me, so really loved all that - but the Datura (is it that?) looks beautiful! So not Scotland!!

    dendrobium:
I think it's a Brugmansia Candida, possibly Knightii (double white). Here's another pic of it that shows the leaf better. The bush was about 4ft tall and growing in the garden beside the pool and bar (sigh!)

Lovely pictures, recognised angel trumpet, lantana, mimosa, osteospurnum etc, but a lot were unfamiliar.

    Thanks for sharing.
