    Hi All,
Well - the Cosmos are now c.6cm, the Calif Poppys c.5cm. Only the Blue Salvias are not all up, but many are. Thing is, I'm wondering whether it's now too warm in the Greenhouse to keep the Propogator turned on? The Cosmos and Poppys are all so long they are bending right over. Should I worry about this please? They do look VERY stringy! I'm keeping the Frost Guard on the fan heater on 24/7 and I don't think it goes belor 5 degrees at night.

Springy, I would turn the propagator off. Take the top off during the day to help slow down the growth of the plants, but put it back on at night for the time being.

Thank you coub, have now turned off.

Also pricked out the Cosmos andd Calif. poppies - within a DAY they looked MUCH happier and are growing on nicely thank you. I don't really need the heat on the propogator when I sow some more seeds now then do I. Not even at nighttime?

I move the plants out of the heated propagator when they have got established (a few true leaves) into an unheated progator. You really only need heat for germination of the seeds (with normal plants).

My greenhouse has bubblewrap insulation, Three heated propagators and several unheated ones. I keep an anti-frost fan heater on 24/7.
