    Hi Compo

I'd suspect the most likely cause to be over or under watering.

My second suggestion is that, assuming they're under glass, they might be getting too hot and require a little shading and ventilation.

Could they be starving? I think they are supposed to be fed a similar feed to tomatoes.

Also, they are supposed to have their foliage sprayed with water, but not sure how often or how much. I never bothered when I had a go at growing some, but then mine didn't do too well.

It's not limited to just the lower leaves is it? Chillis shed their lower leaves as they grow, as they let the leaves towards the top of the plant do their work.

Thanks for the replies flinty and clueless.

They are under glass, and actually its only affecting the top set of leaves so far, and its only happening with the larger plants.

I have been feeding them miracle grow, just some old stuff i had left, so perhaps i should get some tomato plant food.

ile give that a try and see how it goes, thanks again for your advise. :)

Have a real close look in case its Red Spider Mite compo. I've got them on mine, they are really difficult to see, I'm using a magnifying glass to spot them, then spraying with a product called Bug Clear (contains pyrethrin).
