We've been given 3 Tuscan Plum Tomato plants. Are they suitable for growing outdoors or do they prefer 'Greenhouse conditions' ?

    Hi Doogle

I had a look round several websites ,you have probably done the same, and all i can find is they make nice cookers,

I have bought some seeds home with me from Cyprus but i dont think they are anything too out of the ordinary ,one of mine is a beef steak tomato and the other is a plum ,for cooking, i am just treating them the same as my gardeners delight and money makers,

I have put some outside in a sheltered position as i am short on space,
mental note; do not sow so many

If you have room i would keep them in the greenhouse ,but, Italy has some wildly swinging weather conditions , very hot ,to quite cold, so you could try one in a sheltered position and see how it goes

Pam: Thanks for that. We decided to plant one outside and keep the others in 'Greenhouse conditions', we don't actually have a Greenhouse as such but somewhere where the temperature and light can be controlled.

Just have to wait and see I suspect.
