Just watched it and it was good for being nosey. I wish my garden looked like theirs

Its just a garden take on may the best house win but friendlier and less bitchy

I enjoyed it - good for having a nosey at other people's gardens as you said and also for picking up ideas. I thought the couple who won's garden was the least attractive (too much bare trellis for my liking) and the last garden should have won, but I suppose it's all down to taste. I shall be watching next week.

For anybody interested it's also repeated Saturday teatime.

I agree Merleworld I thought the last garden was the most impressive and best designed followed by the 1st garden

the won that won didn't impress me that much to be honest. I like messy and natural but i also think i prefer more definition than it had. Maybe it came across better in person rather than on TV

I watched it, it was ok but there are alot of Gardening shows on the box at the moment and this is going to the bottom of my watch list.

Watched last nights one and the best garden won imo this time

I loved it! the first one was a tad too neat for me and i love the messiness of the last one but it needed a tad more organisation. Just wasn't feeling the layout.

The women that won tho felt like she was a tv presenter with the way she spoke. She would be good if she went into that line of work i think

I agree the right garden won. Wouldn't mind that house either :imphrt:

I wasn't a fan of the first garden (nor the bloke). He wasn't really in the same league as the others, especially since all his plants were mature when he bought them and the garden was only a few years old. He has obviously put a lot of work into it but kudos has to go to the couple who propagated all their own plants over thirty years. I especially loved the woodland they had created from scratch.

Caught up with it this evening.

I think they are all very brave to show off their gardens and open themselves up to criticism. Gardens are such personal spaces, after all.

Loved the lesson on espalier :blue thumb: and the tips on snowdrops :dbgrtmb:

Actually, I take it back, I am quite getting into this. Some of the contestants are a little bit pretentious but the gardens really are amazing. I wish I had a nice big garden like these people, and the funds to match, sadly my house is new build and the garden size is small!

I've just moved from a house which had 1/4 acre ... mowing the lawn was a long job! ... I'm going to enjoy having a smaller garden :heehee:

It's not about the size its what you do with it that matters ;-)

Wasnt feeling any of the garden this week to be honest the first one was porbably my fav but it was a bit too messy for me.

the middle garden was toooo tidy and too designed too much like a hotel kind of thing

The last one i just felt was a bit bland but that guy needed to check out the guy that was on britains best back gardens last week who had the most amazing lawn i have ever seen

He cut it everyday it was beautiful!
