Type of Lavender?

    Does anyone know what type of lavender this is ?

    As far as I know it's Spike Lavender, very fragrant.

    The one I bought my mother for her patio container , was an Angustifolia - Hitcote as I recall. First time I'd seen Lavender grown as a standard before, very impressed and so is she!

    If this thunderstorm doesn't stop taking my pc down, I'd start to get irritated. We may have needed the rain, but I wish the pyrotechnics would leave my power alone.

    [​IMG] Hi Charlie , I have a bush in the garden with flowers like yours & it is, Lavendula angustifolia "folgate". It's flower spikes are longer & more spread out than the "hidcote" & not quite so dark in colour either. Hope that helps. [​IMG] :D p.s. Have to say your quotation is brilliant & that lavenda looks like it has done just that.!!!!.... :D :D :D :D
