Hi, I have taken some more pics of the garden and thought you might like to see them along with some of the work we have completed.

I bought this orange plant from the market, I don't know what it is called but I was told to dead head it and it will flower all summer. It has indeed flowered all summer and I think it is stunning

The geraniums in the 2 baskets by the front door are doing well

I'm really pleased with the Mexican Cigar plants that I put in containers and baskets. They have needed no attention and have looked pretty all summer

The dahlias are looking good. They are one of my favourite summer flowers. They have the smell of summer to my mind. In the first pic you can just about make out labrador Bob's nose. He follows me everywhere, like a shadow.

This month we put this edging round the veg patch. It has made it much neater and means that we can build it up with compost. To be honest my mum (Penstemmon)came to stay for a week earlier on in the month and she did about 3/4 of it . Thanks mum.:D We are currently harvesting peas, carrots and leeks.

We (husband with assistance from me and my mum) Built this covered wood store for the winter. As you see it has become a seating area from where we can watch the veg grow:D Daughter thinks it is a purpose built smoking shelter.

We tidied and put shingle down in this area between the shed (lawnmower/ tools/ flower pots etc) and the greenhouse.

This idea for sweet peas was not our greatest sucess. They are growing up netting on a circular structure. Well, most of the sweetpeas have decided to grow within the circle which makes them difficult to pick

The money plant in the green house is doing well. Soon we will bring it back into the house. Hope it brings us some money, ha

    We have chillies.

.. and of course the tomatoes are doing just fine

The goldfish in the pond were enjoying the sun today. I must top it up later as we still have a small leak

Unfortunately our rabbit died 2 weeks ago, leaving just the gunea pig. I quite miss the old bun bun but we won't be getting another:(

All the shrubs and hedges have been cut

Our project for next year? It is to build a rose garden. I have very few roses in the garden. Here is a little beauty that is out in one of the tubs
