No, and I've checked every 20pence piece in the house :(

They're selling for obscene amounts on eBay too apparently.

I went through so much change yesterday - you know how women's wallets get - they're bulging to the seems with change and they simply cannot close? Well, mine was like that, and so I used it on a toll bridge both ways, and basically used about £20 worth of loose change in my wallet - don't know that I had any of the new 20p's in there, as the new coins do catch your attention. Have gone through remaining change, and unfortunately none there. They said on the news last night they're selling for £50 each?

That's a tad bizarre Hec.....they said there was between 120,000 and 200,000 in circulation? That's an awful lot of money to pay for something with that many in circulation! But hey - good luck to them! I like the guy who bought a supposed 'fake' John Constable painting - but he spotted the error and saw it was real - now going on auctio at Sotheby's (I think it's there!) for half a mill! Love it when good things happen to people :)

I guess that by now there's about 100 times that number in circulation - I can't see forgers missing an opportunity.

Look out for Capney's file scrape marks :hehe:

I wish I knew this last week. I went to the seaside last weekend and used all my spare silver in the amusement arcades, is it worth going back down there and trying to win them back?
