Now I dare say I've done everything wrong already, but here goes!

A couple of weeks ago I noticed some self-seeded honesty plants growing in the gravel in my front garden. Ordinarily not a problem but shortly there will be an old van parked right on top of that spot while I sell it for parts!

As I've always wanted honesty I decided to rescue it. It did not like being rescued.

I llifted each stem (about 6 in total) as carefully as I could to save as much of the root as possible and did well with that - where it was seeded is only about an inch deep so not difficult to free it from. I put it in a pot in a sheltered spot with a mix of 3 parts garden soil to 1 part compost, not too tight, just enough to hold the stems upright. Watered them in just a little (as it's quite dry out front, I didn't want to shock them).

The tiniest one was happy and still is, all the others wilted immediately and only 3 are struggling on - most of the flowers are shrivelled but they have opened one or two again so there is hope I think, although the leaves still look miserable. The tiny one is ~8" tall, the rest a couple of feet.

Is there anything I can do to save them now or do I just wait and hope?

I'd give them plenty of water, as their root system has been disturbed.
