    Hi All,

Im new to gardening (and this forum) and I really need some help.

The leaves on my chilli plant have started to look unhealthy (picture attached). They are slightly yellow with brown patches in the middle. Does anyone have any suggestion as to what is happening, and how to fix it?

    Many thanks

Only guessing but it could be Red spider mite or possibly a shortage of magnesium.

Your problem has probably been caused by Red Spider Mite. To confirm - look at the underside of an affected leaf. There should be lots of tiny mites running around. These can vary in colour but are often a dull pink/red/brown. They like hot dry conditions and are common under cover. On severly infested plants there may also be webbing where the leaf stalk meets the stem and also between stem branches. Higher humidity can help. Professional growers have reported good control by the bi-weekly application of SB Invigorator. This is a "Green" or Organic product and is available in Garden Centres, not all stock it,so you may have to hunt it out.
