The very nice man at our local auction house gave me this a few months back when it looked very sad. It's been on my kitchen window ledge since and obviously loves it there. What is it please, where can I plant it out and how big will it grow?
    Many thanks [IMG]

Looks like it could be a christmas rose, a Hellebor , but I'm not too sure.

I hope you find its true identity soon!

Do we know if it is indoors or outdoors? Does it bloom? It is certainly very healthy.

I am sort of thinking it is an indoor plant, or perhaps a Peperomia blanda?

 I would go with Hellebore (Christmas rose.. Lenten rose) as well plant1star.. HERE is a link that tells you all about them Barbara..:)

 I am not too sure about Peperomia Vicky as the leaves are so dark & shiney & Peperomia leaves are usually singley from the stem (sorry Vicky cant think of the correct term for that description at present) :dh::hehe:

Thank you, yes I can see why you would think so. So - I'm going to have to wait till next year to see it in its full glory. In the meantime I'll try and keep it looking as well as it does now.

I am probably way off base but I was thinking of this ...

    Peperomia blanda

It's the formation of the leaves that I was interested in.

:thmb: Oh yes I see what you mean Vicky, that one does have dark shiny leaves, but again it still has the single leaves coming off the central stem all the way up, whereas the Hellebore does have leaves from one stem, but lots of stems they usually have atop of each stem, 3-5 leaf blades as per Barbara's piccy..:flag:
