Afternoon, could anyone please help me identify this tree as it is on my front lawn and i am unsure what it is. I am looking to trim it back but am not sure of how to go about it as i have been informed by a friend that if i do it wrong then i could do serious damage. As you can probably tell, i am new to gardening.

It's a Japanese invisible tree. The one I keep banging my head on coming back from the local and that explains my headache the following morning. My lack of cash is put down to the 38 Group gorrila.

    Cheers, Tony.
