I am new here and in need of an Identification of a seed head,.It grows on a sw facing hill, by the side of a steep mountainside hill, on a steep roadside bank. I took the photo and edited in lightroom & photoshop.
I have past this area many times in search of subjects to photograph from the car. I am a wheeelchair user, so stay in the car, and use my widow mount.
I am looking forward to knowing its identity finally

    Welcome Pooh.jpeg Andrew.

Looks like a Dandelion seedhead to me ... but it is probably something quite different.

Welcome Andrew. :) If you're passing the seed head again would it be possible for a close up shot of any leaves please. That would help with identification.

Edit: Could it be Salsify Tragopogon Porrifolius?
