Solved Unknown succulent -- Haworthia attenuata.

This has just flowered, I thought it was a type of aloe until I saw the flower now not sure. Help appreciated.

Looks like Haworthia.
Possibly Haworthia attenuata.

Thank you for the answer. Mine does look remarkably like the pictures on Google.

 

It can survive outside in a mild Winter as long as it doesn't get too wet at the roots.

 

That's useful I may well try the offset outside. I have a sunny well drained raised bed and it will be interesting to see how it does there. I already have Aloe striatula growing happily there.
