Hi All.Bit unfair as I should of took photos in summer but never got round to it.
I purchased as I normally do a packet of Wild Flower seeds and just threw them in a hanging basket and let them do their own thing, always a joy as you never know what you are going to get.
The flower below came out in summer with the rest and while the rest have gone this one is still, just flowering despite all the frost & snow we have had.
Would be nice to know if anyone can put a name to this flower despite not having many petals left,as you can see it grew around 18" tall.
    Thank you

No, Dianthus barbatus aka Sweet William is more likely. Obviously it is a wild flower, but in Eastern Europe rather than Britain.

I have a dreadful problem looking at anything close up these days, as I can't see the money in my hand when going to pay for stuff in a shop, but in this case went for Sweet Williams as the pics showed the remains of the 'hairy bits' they're known for.

Blimey, I have to put my glasses on to see my dinner these days, just like an old ewe ready for the knacker's yard!
