    Can anyone identify this tree it sits on the edge of my garden looking very nice.

    Thanks but can anyone expand on this as I can't find any pictures of chestnut trees with pink blossom like this one. Other wise I suppose I will have to wait and see what fruit it bears.

    We have pink Chestnut trees here but the blooms are more conical ...

    I can't really see the leaves on your tree simmel but perhaps someone else will be able to identify it from the distant photo. Whatever it is, it's very pretty. :)

    Hi Simmel, do you think you could get a more close up pic of the flowers leaves & maybe the bark.. Is it still growing or has it been that size for a while...?:gnthb:

    OK Simmel, I think that is good enough.. To me it looks like Crataegus Rosea Flore Pleno - Pink Hawthorn... Have a google on it mate but it seriously looks like it to me.. A little unkemp perhaps... :wink::D

    Hi again, Simon ... so this beauty is in Austria?

    It could be a Cornus florida var 'Rubra' (Pink Flowering Dogwood) with a double flower which is not so common.

    Marley Farley your spot on, but this tree is now about 7 meters tall and still growing.

    :lollol:They will keep growing but you could easily shape it up & top it off & then clip it twice a year to keep it in check & it will also thicken up then too..:thumb:
