Can anyone help as I am unsure what this creeping plant is. I know that there are cleavers in the garden, but this one has me stumped.Seems to be coming through all over the garden. Droppings from the local bird life is what has brought it in.

looks a bit like Bryony, but I would have expected it to be climbing rather than crawling.

True, but it has crawled across the ground. There is places that the it is climbing.
Is it any good for anything or just pull it out to allow for other plants to go in?

Looks like the briony that I have among my shrubs. If there is nothing to climb it just goes along the floor until it finds something.

I agree it's Briony, which will climb up and strangle/smother other plants if you leave it, yank it out landimad :dbgrtmb:

I also agree it's Briony ... I have it creeping and climbing over the stone walls trying to get into my garden from the orange groves. It's a right nuisance ... get rid of it quickly as it grows with amazing speed and if you let it seed you will have even more next year ... :help:
