    I know what it is because I've had it for about 18 years but this is the first time it's bloomed here in the six years it's been here.

    Do you know what it is?

    Got it in one, pete. I haven't seen them much although I've had mine for years.

    I'll be splitting some of them in the Autumn if there is any interest.

    I have some thanks LOL.
    I have managed to grow a few outside all year here in a protected spot.
    They are a nice tidy plant and easy to grow, they should be more popular.
    Cant work out how scarborough fits in though.

    I've often wondered that, pete, but all I've ever discovered is that although it's South African, there was a connection in the late 1800s with Scarborough, England.

    The lovely thing about them is that they bloom July/August when other bulbs are not. We always call it t'other half's flowers as his birthday is mid August.
