Funny thing this, someone recently asked me if I'd heard of a bat plant, luckily I had but I've never grown one.
So I've ended up ordering a white one and a couple of black ones for that person from T&M, delivery is not until April though.

I think they are about to become more popular.
It certainly is a strange flower Mira.
    ;)

I got a black one this August at a local garden centre half price! £9-99 its huge but it already finished flowering so with a bit of luck I'll have more flowers next year.

I tried growing from seed (also the white) but without the right conditions never got one germinated. But your pictures Miraflores make me want to have another go when the greenhouse goes up.
(I love to grow from seed - and not because I am cheap).

Miraflores, I agree, absolutely stunning! Brilliant photography.
Pete, I agree, I think they're becoming more popular. I remember TO telling us about her bargain, they've been mentioned a few times on here recently.
Mr Mac & I seen them on t'intenet about 6mths ago, and have been admiring them since.
Walnut, I think I'm gunna have to get one/some seeds too.

I think they are beautiful and unique, may have to look out for them.

walnut, my little wandering friend, I'm sure it's satisfying but if you haven't got the knack for it like I don't, there's nothing satisfying about it ... I'll buy fully grown and not cry over it. [IMG] Back to instant garden ...

Lol with the high temperatures you have it must be difficult to grow from seed or cuttings I would probably do the same as you ;)
