    I bet you have never been this close to a bee before!

    Wow, Robert!!! You're right, I've never been that close to a bumble bee and wouldn't like to either if they were really that big. Some of those pics look like they came straight out of a horror film. s00k

    Bet you had a lot of fun with them. Did you first take a photo and then put it under the USB microscope or did you actually get up to the bumble bee and take live shots? :scratch:

    They are live shots, but the bee sadly was dead. Found it in the garden this morning

    Lovely close shots, Robert. We can often see dead Bumble bees at this time of the year, but I never thought about photographing one...

    Thanks Linda. The wasp pictures I`m sure could be exposed a bit better. I need to try out different background colours to improve the exposure of the subject. I shall get there.
    I wonder what I can find today?

    Great close-ups, Robert, and on the wasp ones, you can see where the term "wasp waist" came from.

    Love the spider one, but then I love spiders, so I would.
