Upwey, Weymouth Open Gardens today & Tomorrow

I am hopefully going to look at the 20 or so gardens that are open in Upwey today. It only costs £3 so is a real bargain and some places sell plants and others have cream teas yum yum. Hope it stops raining. It starts at 2pm and finishes at 6pm. I'll post some pics later if I get some :hehe:

Typical - other half left half an hour ago to go down to Weymouth to visit his mum. Im stuck here with the kids :(

 

What a bummer u could've come round with us

 

:( I usually go aswell, but his mum has just moved so he is going to put lights up for her etc etc, plus she is struggling in the new place being on her own since OH dad died, so it was best for him to go on his own this time.

Although I wont miss being stuck in the car for 3 1/2 - 4 hours each way. Traffic down there is always horrible this time of year!

 

I will probably go tomorrow depending on the foot (still not quite right), we usually go to a local village open day each year, it might be better weatherwise.

 

Just heard from OH who says its still raining .... hope its better for you guys tomorrow!

Had to chuckle though as OH insists is ALWAYS sunny in weymouth Its been ok here all afternoon !

 

We've had a dry spell between 1.00 and 4.00 but has rained ever since. Will go tomorrow.:thumb:

 

Well we got really soaked and I only managed to take 2 pics because I didn't wanna get OH camera wet and I spent too long in the Manor as I used to live there and I had a look round the house too. Some gardens shut and we couldn't have a cream tea as they had shut early too. Most disappointed. If i knew I could get from the train station to the gardens and back I'd catch the train down today and see the rest lol.

 

Sorry to hear you had such a bad visit LMRR - OH text me a few times yesterday complaining how wet and horrid it was .... and cold !

Is your OH at work today or something, is that why you cant go back today ?

 

Sorry to here you missed out on some of the gardens LMRR and the bad weather for both you and Sam's OH, we will go this afternoon and perhaps have your cream tea.:D

 

No it's too far for me to go haven't even been able to get dressed today and I'm still hurting and tired from the drive and the walking yesterday :( there's always next year

 

sorry to hear that LMRR - but yes there is always next year. If you give me the heads up early I could arrange a visit to time in also

 

Well my lovely hubby said he'd drive us down to Wey and round Upwey so we could see the rest of the gardens so I'm even worse now but I've had 2 great days and here's my photos:
