since i renovated my, enclosed small terraced house, garden in the summer i've suffered nightly visits from a fox. not content to just foul and dig the beds - it now has taken to digging up my spring bulbs. how can i rid myself of this visitor? i've tried one of the commercially available scents remedies without success.

I have installed a battery powered IR scarer. It has limited success. I have repellent rods, gel and powder everywhere and still the cats saunter around my garden. Have you tried using the silhouette of an animal with bright eyes? My father has one in his garden and he says it's good. I think some garden centres supply them.

I have a vision of a guy in a red coat blowing a brass horn, urinating in the garden shouting tally ho!?

Interesting remedy...just a little cold for that! However, watching 'celebrity get me out of here' (OK another sad person!) this week with Carol Thatcher 'doing whatever'! they did say that it would attract rats..not sure if that applies over here in our garden though...just a thought!

Why would you have to wear a red coat to pee in the garden?.... :D

I suppose a green one would also suffice.
