User Preferences cannot be changed

Got this error messages on 3 devices

 

I get the same error message when attempting to access Preferences for another GC user account (set up in 2012 for checking out new forum software), so the problem doesn't appear to be account specific.

 

I don't get any error message and I can access preferences on another forum that uses Xenforo, so that eliminates the possibility that something is awry with all of my devices, so it appears to a GC problem.

 

Thought I'd give it a go myself and change the style back to the 2013 version.

@Scrungee - I got the same error message as you when I used the drop down box under my user name top right of the screen. I got the error message I posted above when I went into my account, opened preferences, selected and it happened when I hit apply .

So, if I'm right, there are both error messages concerning "preferences" but, you get two different ones depending on how you access user preferences (e.g from dropdown box, or from accounts page).

 

Maybe that second error message will help GC Admin sort it out?

Thanks, I've had a good check through all other account settings changes, and Preferences appears to be the only problem (maybe because it's the only one that determines how users view stuff whilst browsing GC?).

All we need to do is work out why this problem isn't effecting @shiney and then we all do whatever he's doing.

Your first post above led me to believe that you were not getting error messages in the same circumstances as myself.

 

@Sheal Normally I would try to check out/replicate anybody's problems on GC, plus cross check them on another Xenforo forum, but unfortunately, the day that was posted was the day I was busy packing to head off to West Somerset for a 3 night break
