I only have a very old kindle that does not "do" colour and is not backlit so I have no idea what the new ones are like. Does yours have a camera? I'd never heard of one having a camera but then again, I haven't looked at them lately.

I use my cheapie android tablet sometimes to snap and upload pictures.

That is interesting @wiseowl ! I have my old kindle but was forced to go to Kobo because our local library system now uses Cloud library/Rakuten which does not talk to my Kindle.

@Purple Streaks have you got one of those new Kindles? If so, how are you liking it?

Hi Lori I've had some sort of kindle since they brought out the paper white I'm on my 8th now!
It's a kindle fire HD. and yes it's got a camera . The last kindle, I had taken lots of photos and then something went on it .I still have that kindle but I can't get the photos off.tried connecting up to a laptop but nothing. I don't know if I can get the photos off the latest one.

Before I got the latest kindle I bought a Samsung tablet it's ok but I find it a pain logging in maybe it's me but when power Charge gets to 60% it keeps shutting down I was lost without the kindle so when the kindle were on offer I went back to one.

I have a Kindle Fire 7 with a 2 MP camera but it is total rubbish. A toddler with crayons will give you a better image.
When I connect it to the laptop the laptop doesn't see it. It seems the USB connector is one way only. In.

So it doesn't look like I will be very lucky then Jacko at getting them on anything but the kindle itself..

Though I must admit the photos were not bad which I took on the other kindle. But it was only quick shots of the grandkids.

This kindle I use mainly for reading books , save having them all round the house!!!!
