Should I let it be? It is very beautiful but it is munching it's way through a baby geranium I have grown from seed.

I am not sure whether it is common and a pest or something less common which I should leave well alone.

    any ideas anyone?

    Hi, ellie!

Vapourer caterpillars are found on many food plants - notably trees and bushes. They're neither rare nor protected, but the caterpillars are rather gorgeous! You could simply move it to somewhere else - but don't touch the hairs on it - some people can find them an irritant...

thanks Hyla, I'll move it as it is making good progress through my geranium! Not quite sure what I want it too eat instead though? Perhaps it will accidently find it self at the other side o the neighbours wall :D
