veg plot advise

    good morning all

    i have made a veg patch 12ft x 6 ft in my garden i have dig it over and added compost and 2 raised beds which i have put spuds in and onions in the other,

    im hoping to grow collys and cabbage around them beds the thing is................................. the area hardly gets any sun at all as its got fence panels all round it

    am i waisting my time trying to grow in a shaded area ?

    also the onions and spuds hav'nt started to grow yet they have been in a week lol

    As long as it`s not deep shade you should be alright.:thumb: One of the veg plots I look after is surrounded on three sides by fifteen foot hedges but I still manage to get a Brassica crop.

    I agree with Dai about the shade. Onions and spuds may be 2 to 3 weeks before you start seeing them emerge.
