    Hello All!
Just wanted to know if any of you have used "Vegepod" to grow vegetables? - seems to have excellent feedback in the US and Australia - looks like a very good product - I've been looking for a portable covered raised bed - I think I might buy one of these even if it is quite an investment. So before I buy was just wondering if anyone else out there has used one of these and what there experience was? Or do you have a cheap alternative for a portable covered self watering raised bed?
    Thanks

Yup - I think I'm going to go for it. I'll post pictures and experiences here - if anyone else out there has one maybe they can too so we can compare experiences :spinning:

They are very interesting I agree, but I don't have power to my greenhouse or tunnel so not for me sadly otherwise I would certainly give them a go.. I have 2 of these raised beds and they are really good would recommend to anyone..

Am I missing something - why would I need power?

I like the idea, but at over £400 for a large one and a suitable stand, it looks helluva expensive?

It does, but a friend "owes" me a present for a big favour - they asked me if I had anything in mind - I mentioned a raised bed and they said it sounds like a good idea so I'll mention this to them and see...:fingers crossed:

Maybe someone could make some covers for you @ElaineTP but as raised beds I find them brilliant.. I tested mine in the greenhouse in the really hot weather I watered them every other day but had to top the reservoir up too for deep rooted plants.. One is outside is completely different as long as the reservoir is kept topped up I don’t really water it much except for hot days.. If we get days of rain I open the drain plug a bit on the reservoir and that stops roots from sitting in water so no rot.. There is a marker so you know if the res’ needs water or some letting out.. I am very pleased with them..

This is my Keter bed with a few herbs in outside.. You can’t see the other as it is covered by the plants in there.. Chillies and cucamelons and a bit of salad..
