Planted end of last year, so no flowering.
This year they have shot up, flowering, but they are a bit dropping and sad looking?

I've tried some extra watering, but these don't mind dry'ish conditions, so don't want to overdo do it.

I have several dotted around the garden and some of them are the same.
I think it's the shock of getting so much strong sunshine all of sudden and they're not used to it yet.
They may well perk up as the sun goes down and it starts to cool.
I've got lots of patches of Michaelmas Daisies and they flop over in the sun too.
But they'll get used to it as they harden up and be fine.

Keep an eye out for Verbascum moth caterpillars - they'll strip a plant of flowers overnight.
Verbascums are valuable food for them.

Oh, I was hoping nothing would eat them too much!

      Better look them up, thanks.

      Oh, those things....!

I have a verbascum (one of the orange-ish hybrids) that always has green shield bugs on it when it's in growth/flowering.
