Hi, I have taken lots of cutting from my verbena and they are growing well, the only problem is that the cuttings have powdery mildew on them. It isn't exactly that warm at the moment so any ideas why, or how I can get rid of it?

LCH, they`ve got mildew because it`s mild and damp. I would spray them with Cheshunt Compound and give them some ventilation.

Hi LCH. I love Verbena bonariensis. If you were growing it last year - I don't think you will need any cuttings. It self seeds furiously, and I have pulled out hundreds; but I don't mind - its such a nice thing.

Hi, thanks for the info, lets hope they self seed as I could do with a better clump of them rather than a couple of sparse plants! I will ventilate the new plants better too. Looking forward to getting in the garden properly - far too windy today!
