I have a spot in one of my borders in which I would love to plant a Viburnum. At the moment it would get no sun at all during the day but come late spring, summer it would be in sun for about half the day. Is this enough sun for a Viburnum? I'm not sure of the importance of sun/shade requirements in the winter as opposed to the summer.
    Thanks..

Hello Karen, Viburnum tinus and Viburnum rhytidophyllum are the two usually recommended for shade, but if you can find it, Viburnum carlcephalum is a real beauty, with big, heavily-scented snowball flowers in late spring.

Great, thanks. Sounds lovely, I'll have a look for those.
