thank you again Joolz , I wish I had a bigger garden just to create a tropical herbs corner , last January while in Thailand I stopped to side road noodles house and it was amazing to see the herbs/spice they where growing in small pots on the side of the road , lotus , ginger , lemon grass , rice , blue pea to coloring the rice and so on.
ps any tips of how to use and where to use it?

I use it in salsa and salads yum :) ive never tried to dry the leaves to grind but maybe i should and store it:blue thumb: it comes in handy as a back up aswell, as now my normal coriander is going to seed which vietnemese doesnt..well it never has for me:heehee: i will have to do some research about it,i bought mine from the herb garden here in derbyshire 2yr ago but ive noticed it for sale now in other nurseries this yr,its def good to have if you love coriander..more concentrated taste :dbgrtmb:
I found its got a fast growth rate aswell sal, dont know what size pot you have it in but keep an eye on repotting it soonish if in a small pot :)
I hope you achieve your tropical herb garden soon..i can pick your brains then :heehee:x
            This seems good info..http://aidanbrooksspices.blogspot.co.uk/2007/10/coriander-vietnamese.html

I`ve tryed few tropical herbs/spice this year , but all in bits .....
got lemon grass as every year , ginger , nut grass , galangal is doing fine as well , curry silver leaves , liquirice (just bought it), colocasia as part of edible tropical , chayote (really fast growing) and so on.
I would try outdoor , as actually my red dragon plant has survived outdoor with a bit of mulch and they are from the same family .
but the way don`t confuse the 2 normal coriander and vietnamese coriander are 2 different plant , not the same family at all .
coriander , available even from Tesco
              [IMG]
and vietnamese coriander it`s actually a persicaria , some persicaria are UK native or growing wild in Uk .

It could be root hardy sal,ive got mine in a large plastic pot and only leave in the greenhouse(bubblewrapped) over winter and as darrans just reminded me,last spring it got mould on it and still made a full recovery :blue thumb: so yes maybe with mulch it might be ok planted out :) i might try it,its one less plant to babysit :heehee: i cover everything with straw :) and now its more readily available i wont be as nervous if i loose it to a bad winter:spinning:

It actually really strong , a 10 out 10 herb , taste way better then the real coriander.

went to will Giles in Norwich and seen it a massive plant outside , will keep indoor this year , in a pot saucers with water and see what uppen , but I`m sure it will survive outdoor in a protect part of the garden.
