I have never had this problem before but we now have a new T.V and I have a new camera .
The pics are there on the T.V but are Black and White and of poor quality.
Any Idea what I'm doing wrong?
I have got the plugs in the right colour holes.
    I have tried every combination.
I have tried it through the DVD/video player the way I used to do it before , but nothing at all now.
The video camera still works great that way.

    Any help Please.

    T V Panasonic TH 42PX70
    Camera Panasonic DCM FZ8
    DVD / Video combi Sony.

My guess would be that you have the video output on the camera set to NTSC rather than PAL. There should (I think) be a menu option in your camera's settings to allow you to specify the video output format.

I've looked for an on-line version of the camera manual but can't locate one so can't be more specific I'm afraid.

    Yes you are right. [IMG]
I have changed the setting to PAL and it works fine now.
    Thank you very much.
I really don't no how I would cope without this site and the lovely friendly helpful people on it.
I would have probably given up long ago.

I can now bore my family and friends with the photos I have taken .
I am new to all this photography lark but I am really enjoying it.
The more I learn the more I love it.
With the love of nature and gardening it seems to go hand in hand.
    Thank you again.

You should put some entries into the photo competitions Lyn - you'll learn a bit and have fun too!

I have put some photos in the last couple of competitons.
It's a bit hit and miss at the moment I don't really no what I'm doing.
But I know what I like so thought I would have a go.
I've had this new camera a couple of weeks and still learning about it.
Everyone as been very helpful and I appreciate criticism of my photos and advise on how to make them better.
I've never been to the park so much, which is a shame because it is the most beautiful place and only a few mins from where I live.
So not only am I learning a new hobby , I'm seeing much more of the park and getting exercise as well. [IMG]
