I'm having a problem viewing pictures posted in threads. When I try to enlarge a thumbnail I get a page showing random albums and pictures. Can you advise?

Also, I'm not a Luddite, but I'm having trouble adapting to the new format. Perhaps it's because I've got a lot of design work on and I haven't spent enough time on the site. Not a criticism of the site per se, just my experience.

you're not alone, boghopper. When I click on the thumbnail, I get taken to the home-page (with random pictures at the top).

OK. If I click the first thumbnail I get an overlay on my screen, containing the image (at full size, so to speak) and Left/Right arrows so I can step through the other images in that "set". Sounds like you are not seeing that.

Looks like some Javascript has intercepted the "link" to make that happen, so if I take the actual URL off that first thumbnail:

    http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/attachments/img_1379-jpg.3207/

and open that it a new TAB/window it does give me just that single image (in a large format)

If you click that URL and you get the "page showing random albums and pictures" that would tell us that its something your end I think.

Might be the version of your browser - what browser / version (See Help : About for that info) are you using?

if I click your individual link, I get the image in a large window, not the home-page.

    I'm using Firefox 11.0

If you do RightClick and then Open Link in New Window (or New Tab) I think that will work.

My best guess is there is something goofy in the Javascript that is trying to give you the "Overlay" of the image on the page, instead of taking you to the link - but the RightClick + Open will force your browser to use the link, rather than do the Javascript thingie.

Hopefully Richard will be able to figure out what is not working for your specific browser (v11 is the latest version of Firefox, so it will have all the latest available fixes)

nope. Sorry Kristen, but right-click and open link in new window/tab doesn't work; each time it takes me to the forum page (with random images at the top, as boghopper refers to)

Using firefox 11 here and weather I left (open in new tab)or right click I get the overlay but no arrows I have to view each picture individually.

I am wondering if it is your Java... Have you tried un-installing & re-installing Java, sometimes that can cure these sort of problems...

I assume you have done a real cookie clear-out too, that can cause very odd problems......

Sorry Kristen, I've only just come back to this thread. (Not enjoying GC as much as I used to with the old format. Seems a lot slower to load).

I'm using AOL as a browser but it seems to have sorted itself out now as I'm getting decent enlargements. Thanks for your help.
