Any tips? With the dish of tomatoes, do you reckon I could put 5 different ones? How do I get a full ripe truss in time? (@Zigs @Scrungee looking at you two)

Definitely putting my girls eggs on display and I have a pot of rhubarb jam I made a few weeks ago.. I've still got blackcurrants in the freezer so will make another pot of jam and a tart. May enter the fuschia, mixed flowers, dahlia and sweet pea ones too, plus spuds, runner beans, although I just picked all of the decent ones today and gave them away

Never done anything like this and only just heard of it! 2 days pretty much to get ready..

Thanks all, have roped the eldest in to do some of the childrens entries and also the drawing category (she's REALLY good at art), going to make some collages and decorate digestives with the little one tomorrow (little does he know he's entering, mwahahah..) just prepped my onions..dried fruit is soaking in tea overnight for the bara brith trial run, tomorrow: jam making, tart trial (not confident about my pastry), collecting small vases and ribbons off family to decorate with, sort my tomatoes, spuds and runners (I'll be nabbing them back off family, I know there's a giant in there lol).. try and sort my flowers/cactus out.. in other words going to be busy tomorrow!! Eeek! I'm quite excited..and nervous!

When's the deadline for submitting entry forms?

For our village's show on Bank Hol Monday I had to get mine in by yesterday evening.

@"M" ! Birthday is not till Monday but me and the best butty planned a night out before I knew I was entering!

Haha I haven't got high hopes for winning tbh.. although it tastes nice, my bara brith is not easy on the eye.. used a recipe for a 2lb loaf in a 1lb tin..doh! Not bad for a first attempt though!


Still haven't made jam or tart.. need to pull my finger out!
