Morning all, This is a bit of a warning to anyone that is a customer of Virginmedia and in particular that has one of their email addresses (@ntlworld, @blueyonder, @virginmedia and so on); over the weekend, I lost ALL of my email, and I do mean ALL. A lot of it, I had not had the chance to back up fully, particularly stuff from the start of this year when I took ill, so there was still almost 2000 emails that I had not read or attended to - - - all gone. Virgin Media see email as a 'nice to have' thing, and do not offer anything in the way of customer support relating to email (mind you, they don't offer much in the way of customer support for any of their products!), so in short I am stuffed. A quick look around online shows that I am not alone in this happening, and it seems to be an increasing problem - nobody really knows why it happens, and Virgin do not give a monkeys. So, if you are a Virgin Media customer that uses their email addresses - BACK UP any precious emails NOW, and do so to your computer. DO NOT rely on VM servers to hold your information. IF YOU HAVE SENT ME AN EMAIL AT ANY POINT IN THE PAST THAT CONTAINS CONTACT DETAILS/ADDRESSES/PHONE NUMBERS OR ANY REQUESTS FOR HELP ETC, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH AS I HAVE LOST ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.
