    It's just been announced on the BBC News that the Jessops brand has been bought by a bunch of entrepeneur's. Their intention is to create a on-line Jessops only selling camera equipment as a competitive price.:coffee: The shops on the High Street are destined to stay shut, I'm afraid.

      I hope it goes ahead
      Jessops always did do a strange on line experience, Cheaper than the store
      only you had to go to the store to pick the goods up
      Go only to the store and the manager could not match the online price

      I still hope it goes ahead, as we would have another UK based camera shop

      Brilliant! I hope it happens, although not having a high street camera store to visit is tough!

      Well, there are still independent camera shops but they're mainly in the cities now so it's harder for us non city folk to get there for a browse.:dunno: :snork:

        The 'pool doesn't have any :cry3: Only Jessops and some smaller camera shops that went bust a long time ago. Now have to rely on Argos :snork:

        Let's hope Jessops becomes such a successful online business that it takes the high street again in the future*
