What a difficult decision to make. So many lovely pictures on such diverse subjects. Seems we all get out and about lots and its great to see where people gain their inspiration. I LOVE THIS SITE.
    My choices are:
    In reverse order:-
    3rd Dalobuie's Butterfly (Painted Lady?)
because of the brilliant colours and details. A lovely picture I wish I'd taken.
    2nd Webmaster's Hedgehog
Well captured shot, lovely detail and full of character. I'm inspired to get out tonight with my torch.
and my winner this month is:
    Icleweed's Dragon Fly
The filigree wings of this beautiful creature stand out well against the soft focus background.
Another picture I wish I'd taken.

As i am a Nature person no slug pellets [or chemicals if pos] I have had hedgehogs visiting for as long as i can remember but not for 2 or so years until about 6 weeks ago I feed it every night it arrives late but I wait up. Therfore
    No 1. The Hedgehog
No 2. Dragon fly. Well captured
No 3. Frogesque's Linnets. Again well captured and lovely to see.
    Well done all.

    My choices:

Difficult, but I think Ickleweed's dragonfly is tops. Superb combination of skill, patience and luck to get a wonderfull shot.

Second would be Webmaster's hedgehog - a baby if I'm not mistaken. Great 'after dark' shot and it definitely has the 'Ahhh!' factor.

And third is nik's butterfly - Not that common and probably a very lucky encounter in the right place at the right time. The shot shows both behavior and habitat. I might have rated this a bit higher had it been cropped differently and the species been given ;) (? Ringlet ? on Lady Fern)

The other butterfly, Dalobuie's Peacock, although it has exceptionally clear detail and good colouring an antenna has been lopped off and there is an antena from another butterfly lurking behind it at the top so having been very critical it gets a an SM from me.

1st Frogesque - Linnets, how you managed to capture them busy ickle tykes, I'll never know.

2nd Steve b - Common Shrew, for being clever enough to pose as a mole and nearly get away with it.

3rd Nathan - Hedgehog, just for being a hedgehog. Does that make me a biased gardener? lol

1st Samsoph, seagull, one in a million shot.
2nd Jjordie, squirrel, looks like he posed for the shot.
3rd Petal, unusual idea for a picture but it works.

Have found this month so difficult so many great pictures - in fact I could not chose between two of them

    1. Ickleweed's damsel fly - difficult to capture and the colour and shape of the wing above was just lovely.

    2. Nik's flower and bee - the clarity and the detail in the picture were lovely, the bee almost looks imprisoned.

    3. I really great difficulty between Frogesque's linnets, so difficult to get a quality shot, and Nathan's hedgehog, I to couldn't believe how close you got. But the clarity of Nathan's shot after dark made it for me - bright eyes and all. So 3 = Nathan

The others that were oh so close for me, Pete's heron - a perfect pose, Charlies stormy night - such a range of colour, and Samsoph gull with crisp packet - lucky shot.

    This is so hard

Difficult again this month, but :-

1st - Ickleweed's Dragonfly - The kind of picture that is used in magazines, such a high quality detailed picture.

2nd - Samsoph's Seagull - Such a cheeky picture, worth sending to Golden Wonder ;)

3rd - Charlie's Stormy Night - Such a mix of different colours in the night sky.

For anyone I haven't voted for, sorry, there are loads of pics on here that I haven't voted for that I have saved to my PC ;)

    A great month

    Nathan.

2nd Ickleweed's Dragonfly - so clear and colourful

    3rd Marley Farley's Moon - looks eerie.

Was difficult again, could have chosen others they were all worth a place in top 3.
