Vulcan

Did I just see a Vulcan Bomber heading North over Covenrty direction ??? I thought she was grounded due to lack of funding.

Pal,according to those in the know,the Vulcan flew over our village on Friday afternoon soon after two Hercules C130's flew over and I missed them all because I had gone indoors to have a nice refreshing cold drink:D.I heard the Hercules and by the time i had jumped up and looked out of the window they had gone over.:(

Mr Kandy heard the Vulcan as it went over the place where he works.Evidently the Vulcan was flying quiet high and left a trail of black smoke in its wake.

Perhaps a few of the plane spotters on here can tell us what is going on with it:D

 

I remember visiting Brimham Rocks (now NT) in North Yorkshire when I was in my teens, when suddenly the sky filled with the sight and sound of one of these going over very low, I ducked!!!:D:D
Would love to see one again.
